2010 Heisman Hopefuls IX

Top 10

1. Kellen Moore (QB - Boise St.) - Moore position at the top right now is quite tenuous.

2. LaMichael James (RB - Oregon) - James has been quite consistent. He is averaging 169.6 rushing yards per game with his only game with under only game under 100 being 94 yards against Arizona St.

3. Cameron Newton (QB - Auburn) - Newton has exploded onto the Heisman scene as he has helped propel the Auburn Tigers to an undefeated season in the SEC hitherto. This week's game against LSU will determine where he will solidify himself in the standings.

4. Andrew Luck (QB - Stanford) -  Luck has been very efficient through the air which has made him a force to be reckoned with due to his mobility.

5. John Clay (RB - Wisconsin) - Clay runs big. Wisconsin has won each game that Clay has rushed for over 100 yards including last week's game against Ohio State.

6. DeMarco Murray (RB - Oklahoma) - Murray has been one of the key components to leading Oklahoma to the top of the BCS.

7. Denard Robinson (QB - Michigan) - Robinson and his untied cleats burst to the top of the Heisman scene earlier in the year, but after two loses and an injury it seems that his stock is falling the other way.

8. Terrelle Pryor (QB - Ohio State) - Pryor and the Buckeyes suffered a difficult loss to the Badgers. Pryor has played big in games before, but he appeared latent at times in this one. Pryor has to remain strong if he wants his Buckeyes to contend the Big Ten.

9. Landry Jones (QB - Oklahoma) - Jones has been the other key for the Oklahoma offense.

10. Patrick Peterson (CB/KR - LSU) - Peterson has continued to be dominant on Defense and Special Teams. However, it requires near perfection to contend for the Heisman at CB and KR/PR, so a muffed punt is excruciatingly costly for Peterson.
