Michael Vick: Destination Unknown

So now that Michael Vick has been conditionally reinstated, where may he play?

The following teams have not publicly ruled out Vick:
Arizona Cardinals
Baltimore Ravens
Green Bay Packers
Houston Texans
Pittsburgh Steelers

All five teams have three quarterbacks on its depth chart.

The best fit would be Pittsburgh. The fans are some of the most dedicated in sports. The Steelers have a stable locker room and fine leadership. Pitt is thin at QB with Dennis Dixon and Charlie Batch behind Roethlisberger. Big Ben usually finds a way to injure himself once a game so Vick would be a good change of pace QB to come in when Roethlisberger is taken out to be examined. Batch is also 34, so his career in the NFL is wanning. Dennis Dixon has only 1 year of experience in the NFL, so he will be quite raw. Additionally, Michael Vick could teach Dixon the ins and outs of being a mobile quarterback in the NFL.

Arizona has not commented on Vick, but with Kurt Warner and Matt Leinart there is no reason to bring in another QB. The only thing Matt Leinart needs more than being told he is the new third string quarterback is telling him that he needs to find a new proffesion. Adding Vick would crush Leinart's spirits.

Baltimore has not ruled out Vick; however, the Ravens have ensembled an impressive set of young quarterbacks with Joe Flacco, Troy Smith, and John Beck. On the other hand, Baltimore is thin at Wide Receiver so the consideration for Vick maybe to fill another void.

Green Bay has been one of the most outspoken team that would be willing to add Vick to its roster. After Aaron Rodgers, the Packers have Matt Flynn and Brian Brohm - two quarterbacks whom were very successful on the college level. If the team isn't confident with the abilities of Flynn or Brohm then the team could reach out to Vick to provide possible security behind Rodgers.

Houston is the only team not to comment on Vick besides the Arizona Cardinals. The Texans have proven starter Matt Schaub and may look to add another QB with success on the NFL stage to their roster. Adding some talent would not hurt the rising Texans, but would Vick adapt to this new locker room and city well?
