Stoudemire Trade Possibilities

"The word has spread to executives around the league that Stoudemire or Shaq could be had for a price that includes young players on rookie contracts, draft picks and expiring contracts. The Suns aren't actively shopping Stoudemire, but rival execs are aware that it's time to step up with their offers. Plenty will get their bids in by Feb. 19, hoping to fleece the desperate Suns in the process."

Based on that outlook here are some possible trades for Amare Stoudemire as Shaquille O'Neal's trade value at the discretion of specific teams - Shaq is not done yet, but the main component is that he helps attract fans to games so talent isn't going to be the primary factory.

Ben Gordon
Drew Gooden
Joakim Noah

Amare Stoudemire
Explanation: Chicago has plenty of guards and has been in search of a center. Phoenix would receive Ben Gordon who is one of the most promising guards in the NBA. With Joakim Noah and Robin Lopez, the city of Phoenix can switch to Noah-Lopez energy - cleaner than coal or gas and more efficient then electricity or solar power. Additionally, Gordon's and Gooden's contracts expire this season while Noah's expires after next season.

Udonis Haslem
Mark Blount
2010 1st Round Pick
2011 1st Round Pick

Amare Stoudemire
Explanation: Once Michael Beasley realizes that he has to play defense and earns himself extensive time on the floor, he will be the best power forward in basketball. Miami knows his Beasley's offensive abilities and will retain him. However, the team will have to give up some picks in the future, which will be well worth it considering they have only Stoudemire (has option), James Jones, and Marcus Banks under contract for more than two seasons allowing them to resign Dwayne Wade, Michael Beasley, Mario Chalmers, any key veterans, and then they will be able to go out and sign some role players. Haslem is a decent power forward, but more importantly the Suns receive two contracts that expire before 2010 and two 1st Round Picks.

New Orleans
Tyson Chandler
Hilton Armstrong
Julian Wright

Amare Stoudemire
Explanation: Talent wise this trade is quite appealing for both teams. All three players from the Big Easy are young, top 13 picks, that are skilled on both ends of the court. Armstrong and Wright are college breed players that each won national championships while playing in college. They work hard and know what it takes to win. The Suns are
receiving a solid foundation in what can potentially become three all-stars in exchange for Stoudemire. For New Orleans, Amare Stoudemire + Chris Paul = too much Youtube material.

LaMarcus Aldridge
Jerryd Bayless
Channing Frye
Ike Diogu

Amare Stoudemire
Matt Barnes
Ready for a fun fact, LaMarcus Aldridge -17.7 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 1.0 bpg; Amare Stoudemire - 20.9 ppg, 8.2 rpg, 1.0 bpg. Jerryd Bayless ends Phoenix's never ending search for a young back up point guard. I don't like how a four for one trade looks so Matt Barnes was thrown in.

Amare Stoudemire for Jermaine O'Neal - the Toronto have the greatest front court in the history of basketball and go on to win several championship while the Suns go on to trade Steve Nash (saying Nash was untouchable was a hoax) to the Knicks for Eddy Curry and Jerome James, and signing Robert "Tractor" Traylor from Turkey thus assembling the greatest pie eating team ever! Hereby, transforming the contending D'Antoni Suns into a competitive challenge for world-renowned hot dog eater Kobayashi.
On a more serious note,
Chris Bosh

Amare Stoudemire
Explanation: Stoudemire and Bosh are similar player with explosive jumps, the ability to run, and extremely dangerous in the low post. Bosh has a better jump shot, but overall they are matched skill wise.
