Notes: Rhode Island has been on a 5 game losing streak. NC Asheville's Kenny George has returned to the line-up; in the two games they have played since his return, both of the games have been wins. He continues to put up double digit points with an average of 17 minutes a game in the last two games. NC Asheville plays Winthrop again on March 1st (NC Asheville won the first match up without George). Bryan Smithson, K.J. Garland, Vincent James, and Reid Augst also average double digits on the season for NC Asheville. Washington is a justified team, though their record is 15-13(6-9) with a missleading RPI (117) and SOS (54). Washinton is 3-9 against top 50 teams and 3-4 against teams with RPIs from 51-100. Washington is 9-0 against all other teams. Wins include Oregon, ASU, UCLA, and Arizona which is a tougher 4 games than UMass or St. Joseph's has to play in the entire season and conference tournament. Washington's ranked losses (rankings are at the time of game) are to 16Texas A& M, 21Syracuse, 12Pittsburgh, 4Washington St., 5UCLA, and 14 Stanford. Unranked losses are to OSU, USC(2), Arizona, California, Oregon, and ASU. All of their losses are to teams that are in the tournament except for Syracuse (first team out), California (second team out), and OSU which is equipped with Byron Eaton, Marcus Dove, and James Anderson. How can Washington be compared to A-10 teams? Moditfications have been made to accompany Arizona.
